For the celebration of the tenth anniversary of my business I
asked Munich´s best rock-and-roller, Paul Wuerges and his Allstars to
perform in the pavilion where our celebration was being held. Since some
visitors knew I had been an active musician earlier on, they called me on
the stage. After six songs, which had not been rehearsed, I brought the
house down, and this encouraged me to resume playing music actively. Since
my business kept me busy for long hours every day I could not play in a
band, and therefore began to write and compose songs on my own. Thanks to
digital equipment I am able to record, mix, and master everything at home.
Recently Bernhard and Mathis – among the best drummers in Munich – recorded
the percussion parts live for me on a separate track. All this is great fun
for me, and sometimes the whole house is shaking when I |

replay a finished song.
I take care that none of my guitar tracks are saved, so that each new song
is provided with its own new guitar music creation. Unlike most others I do
not compose on the computer, but on the piano or on the guitar. I hope this
is noticed in my songs clearly. At the age of 53 I am used to that and will
stick to it.
Sometimes I practise live in my business. Occasionally Paul Wuerges performs
in the adjoining music pub S´runde Eck. He will pop in and say:
“Achim is playing there,
the last Beatle of Munich-Sendling.”Achim |
