Achim Schultz

born July 4th 1950 Pritzwalk Germany east

I make music since 1963

I sang 1965 "Help" of the Beatles as a good cover this song was number one hit in 20 countries at the same time: the Beatles and the 60's as a musician experiencing this was the biggest in my life. You know actually why I always write "Dreamer" at the end here is the story:

In 1966 Achim saw the cover Revolver of THE BEATLES/VOORMANN this first and thought at that time I would like to get to know Klaus Voormann because he is a German with the Beatles. After 40 years dream time Klaus Voormann gave Achim his work of art of George for Achim's new album "Bye Bye George Harrison" and the friendship got bigger and bigger.

Result: Still believe in your dreams even if they need 40 years

THE NEW ALBUM : BYE BYE GEORGE HARRISON IST THERE ------------------------------------------------ The cover is kindly drawn by KLAUS VOORMANN He also helped me with the decision I was very happy and proud because Klaus had drawn the cover "REVOLVER" for THE BEATLES and got two Grammy for it. THE SONG "NO GAME" IS A BENEFIT SONG because there aren't any laws which prohibit the dirty landmines worldwide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I donate a part of the takings for the victims, Children and civilians. I saw a video clip of country mines where children had ragged arms and legs. Whether you have children or not this terrible insanity you have to stop. On this I wrote the donation song "No Game" A part off the income goes from to ''Adopt A Minefield'' !!!

THE SONG "BYE BYE GEORGE HARRISON"
a thank-you to GEORGE HARRISON for his wonderful songs and his generous heart.

Through my friendship with
Klaus Voormann I had learned much good one about George Harrison. (Klaus lived 3 years into the 60's with Patty and George Harrison in London) George was always good to poor people and donated for needy people in the whole world. It touched me and I wrote one tribute song about George Harrison. We played everything in my own record studio. Apart from the drums, the background choir, clarinet and Sax. I play all instruments self and sing the lead vocals and choir. Klaus Voormann gave me his beautiful George Harrison drawing for the cover.

A part of the takings we will donate in front of Paul McCartneys supported relief organization Adobt A Minefield. He wrote, thank you with an E-Mail. The other ones goes to Klaus Voormanns relief organization Lakota Village Fund e.V.

Now I have a own label with record studio and a music publishing house :

AS-MUSICRECORDING
is a convinced follower of well-kept retro-sounds without losing connection to modern technical presence. We love handmade music, played and recorded on instruments which are part of the history of beat and rock music. Starting from this point of view we mix our songs by taking contemporay tube based equipment because of preferring the warm sounds of tubes.

Beyond that we want to concentrate our efforts in the near future to become a good partner of musicians as a publisher.

Have a look around our website. Maybe you want to co-operate and let us realize your music or your project with a little bit of nostalgia but a lot more of power.
